We are pleased to announce that all Rotary clubs using ClubRunner have two new membership types available to them:
    • Active - Satellite
    • Active - Corporate
These new membership types are a way for clubs to help further categorize their membership in ClubRunner. Rotary International will see members added in these categories as Active members of the club.

The new membership types are available when:
    • Adding new members
    • Re-activating past members
    • Changing a member from Honorary to Active
    • Editing active membership type

If your club had previously requested a custom membership type to handle Active - Corporate or Active - Satellite membership types, these have been migrated into the new universal types.

Zach, can you please remove the "Active-Satelite" membership type that was added prior to the universal type being initiated so that we don'e have two similar categories? Cheers!

    Hello Hans,

Thank you for letting me know, I apologize that we did not get that corrected during the migration. I've resolved it now, and you should no longer see a duplicate!

That's good news about the corporate member types. Now, how can I combine members under one corporation? THat is, multiple members count as only one member (corporate), so I would like to group those corporate members under one membership. Of course, this will also affect our membership count used by RI in our dues invoicing. Should I list one member as active and the others as inactive? Should I report only one member to RI (integration) and not report the others? It would be nice to have a corporate member designation page with several name/data fields for those corporate members under the corporate designation.

At this time we do not have a way to link other user accounts to a primary user account. You can use Designations within your club to help track this, and these guide should help get you started:
    Creating a New Designation: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/1090-how-do-i-create-a-new-designation
    Adding Designations to members: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/1089-adding-a-member-designation

If you do not want the alternates reported to Rotary, then they would need to be added in ClubRunner as other users at this time. Every club and district has decided a different path for their corporate membership. Some clubs will report all of the users to Rotary, others will only report the primary. The important thing to remember is that a company cannot join your club, and that an individuals Rotary ID is their own, and does not belong to the company.

Can new satellite clubs have their own web space in club runner or do we need to integrate with the sponsor clubs site somehow? Can satellite club chairs manage their own members, goals

At this time we do not have any special features or support for Satellite clubs besides the membership type tracking. You can create content for them on the website and assign a member of their club as the owner. You could also give a member access to help manage all users, but not just Satellite members. I appreciate you sharing these questions, as I've also passed them over to our Product team for their review for consideration in future updates in ClubRunner.

Can I clarify please? If you have say three members of a company or organisation wanting to join as one 'corporate' member i.e. paying one membership fee, you enter one nominated person in Membership as an Active - Corporate. Where do the others go so they get RI communication and can access My Rotary etc. as a Rotarian?

    Hi Michelle,

Thanks for posting here. MyRotary.org is typically closed to the CR support team, so if anyone else in the Community knows otherwise, please correct me if I am wrong.

To my knowledge this is not possible - you can't have one paying corporate member, but then allow other 'unofficial non-members' access to MyRotary.org as Rotarians. In your case there would only be one Rotarian - the "Active-Corporate" member. That does mean the other 'non-members' could share access with that one "Active-Corporate" account on MyRotary.org, but that would be up to them. But it's only the "Active-Corporate" (dues paying) member that would get access, just like any other "Active" member of your club.

On ClubRunner's end you would have that "Active-Corporate" member - plus then you could create the 'unofficial' members as "Other users". Other users are unofficial members of your club, don't pay Rotary dues - and perhaps integral - do not sync with RI. However Other users can be emailed within ClubRunner, can be provided with logins and even have enhanced access (only inside ClubRunner). You can review:
    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/917-how-do-i-add-a-non-member-other-user

Please post again if you have more questions.

    Hi Mickey -
That is correct. RI does NOT actually recognize "Corporate" members at this time - only Active and Honorary Members. Your comments are all accurate including the billing process with RI.

    Hi Cheryl,

Thanks very much for verifying. Michelle just a clarification - "Active-Corporate" in ClubRunner essentially means "Active" on Rotary's website. This is to ensure "Active-Corporate" members in CR have the correct access on MyRotary.org.
