I would like some help on custom fields please.
The example shows Youth Volunteer driver as the main header then underneath shows the title Volunteer driver with the date tag. I am unable to reach this section where this is combined.
I have my Working with Children check for members under designations but thought it would be helpful to be in a position to have this in the custom fields.
For example, all in the one field
    Heading, Children's Guardian
    WWC number
    Verification date
    Expiry date

    Is this possible?
    Thank you
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Great questions!

One thing that is very important to note, is how custom fields and designations are different from each other. Designations can only be managed by club and or district staff, depending on the type of the designation. Where custom fields are always available to be edited by the member.

While you can set the title of the field and the type of field, you cannot prefill the information. The character field will respect and display line breaks:

To do it how you'd like, I believe you'd need three separate fields 1 character for the WWC number, and two date fields for the verification and expiry.

I thought I had it altogether but it does not come out the same as the examples.
    I have made 3 screenshots
    1. My profile custom fields copy
    2. Help screenshot (first one)
    3. Help screenshot (second one)
Hope it makes sense, I can't see where I am going wrond

    Hi Chris,

Looking at the data in your field, it looks like you did not enter any line breaks. This is why it is showing as a single line.

In my example, I do have a line break in the editing mode:

    Hi Zach,
My age an inexperience is showing, I presume you mean by a line break is hitting ENTER at the end of the text as you would do in Word document. Nothing happens at my end sorry. But I can edit in member file, other variations such as a tick or other lines don't seem to be edited in the original setup fields.
The idea is to consolidate all variations under the one heading for our vaccinations, dates, etc

    Hi Chris,

Looking at your profile as an example today, I think you've gotten this sorted? I can see you were able to get the items over three lines.

Please let us know if you still need further assistance, thanks!

    Hi Zach
Thank you for your continued interest and support.
Yes, it finally sunk in how to achieve the result I think I was expecting a little too much in the general setup.
To make it easier for some who are not too handy with databases I was trying to set everything out line by line for them.
I have copied the setup and sent to members, will see how they go.
Have a merry Christmas and safe New Year, please pass this on to all staff.
By the way our club is not going with DACdb, more in the New Year.
