Modify or delete a built in widget.

Thanks for your great question, some widgets in ClubRunner simply pull information already entered into ClubRunner, and cannot be changed otherwise. Other widgets show information you assign to them, and lastly we have custom widgets which are 100% controlled by whatever content is entered into them.

Looking at your Club's website, it seems that you were able to update the Club Information page, as it feeds into the Club Information widget.

Is there anything else we can assist with?

 

Hey Zach, could you answer the question. You defined the widgets. But the question was "How do I delete a Widget"
I created a custome wildget as a test to see how your interfaces work and can't get rid of it.

I can confirm Built-in widgets (From the Preformatted, Essentials and Events widget groups), may not be deleted.

Page Specific Custom Widgets, and Global Custom Widgets, can be deleted from the club's website and website designer. To begin, please use the steps in this guide on our Knowledgebase to open the club's 'Custom Widgets for Home Page' page in the Website module:

From 'Step 3' in the guide, you can click 'Global' in the top 'View Widgets:' bar, to view all of the Global Custom Widgets for the club's website. To view the Page Specific Custom Widgets for only the Home Page, click 'Home Page' from the top 'View Widgets:' bar.

If the club has created any Page Specific widgets for Custom Pages, the custom pages will be displayed in a list when clicking 'Page Specific' from the 'View Widgets:' bar at the top of the page. After clicking 'Page Specific', click the custom page title from the list to open the list of Page Specific widgets for that custom page.

Once you have opened the Global, Home Page, or Page Specific widget section(s), you can use the information in 'Step 4' from the guide to Preview, Edit, or Delete the custom widgets.

Unfortunately after following the information on the link it still did not bring up the Carousels that had been created.
The Carousel would not work on the front page and everytime I tried it kept creating a new Carousel.
Now I need to delete them but there doesn't seem to be a way!

Thank you for posting, and including an image of the Carousel widgets you are looking to remove, it was very helpful!

I can confirm Carousel widgets may not be deleted from the website designer. I think a 'Carousel Widget Library', similar to the 'Custom Widget Library' would be a great feature to have for the carousels, and I have submitted a new feedback report from your club account to our Product team for a method or feature to manage & delete Carousel widgets. Our Product team will review the club's feature suggestion & feedback report as soon as they can.

You can re-use & update the images in the existing Carousel widgets by dragging and dropping the widget with a 'Magnifying Glass' from the right 'Content' tab, into the left 'Live Designer', then hover-over & click the carousel widget in the live designer to edit & replace the images.

To add multiple new slides to the carousel, first hover-over & click the carousel widget from the left-side website live designer, then use the steps in this 'Setting Multiple Slides...' section from the guide:

Hi, I've read through this thread for an issue I'm having, and don't believe the answer is here already. While working on a Bulletin, I've placed the widget "Bulletin Speakers" that can be found underneath the Events widget tab. I've clicked the outbound arrow and the settings gear to try to find how to center-align the type. I cannot find that option. Is it possible?

I can confirm there is not a way to set the widgets text alignment for the built in widgets like Bulletin speakers. I have shared this feedback with our product team so that they can consider it for future updates to the platform.

This is an older issue, is there a way to delete carousels? I have recently taken over site admin and there are several "empty" or unused carousels that I want to delete from the database.
