Our club recently sign up for Sage payment option. It appears that billing works well, and you can add a payment option to an event, but I can't find a way to link it to a donation button or create a way to select a payment option for dues. Clubrunner tech support is non existent, and I can't find any documentation that helps with my effort to build out this product. I did fine a link that had instruction for adding a donation button, but it is not working for me. If any one can help me with this dilemma I would be grateful.

    Hi Sharon,

I just wanted to reply to this so the community is aware as well. Sharon had a ticket open in our help desk as well that we responded to as well. For Sharon's needs the current version of the Donation module doesn't link to individual members, and doesn't allow the person donating to express intent of their donation. We suggested that she work with our dedicated Sage representative to see what additional options they had available.

So, we set up a permalink for donation specifics, yet there is not a way in CR to create a link to the specific donation? Why have multiple campaigns then?

    Hello David,

    Thank you for posting.

You can retrieve and copy the website address or URL link to any of the campaigns set to be visible on the website, from the '/Donations' list page on your club account's website (https://lewisvillemorningrotary.org/donations) , then add the link to emails, or a website widget with a textbox, using the steps in this article:

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/kb/articles/how-do-i-add-a-link

In 'Step 4' from the article, use the 'Link Type' - 'URL' to enter any of the individual donation campaign URLs or the donations list page URL into the email or website widget. I would like to share, if you highlight text (For example, 'click here to open the campaign' in an email), or an image in the editor, and then use the steps from the article, the text or image will be linked to the donation campaign or other content.

To add the '/Donations' list page or an individual campaign to your club's 'Navigation Menu' at the top of the public website, please use the steps in this article:

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/kb/articles/how-do-i-build-the-navigation-menu

In 'Step 2' of the 'Adding or Editing a Menu Item' section, choose the 'Link Type' - 'Custom URL', to include the Donations list page, or an individual donation campaign's URL, in the Navigation Menu, then publish the menu updates with the steps in the article.

    I hope this helps!

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello David and Sharon,

I would like to follow up also regarding the prior post from my colleague Zach in 2020, regarding Donation Comments.

In a recent update to ClubRunner, we have improved our Donations module to allow Administrators to enable comments for individual campaigns. After enabling comments, if a donor submits a comment along with their donation, the comment will appear in the exported Donations Report spreadsheet.

You can enable comments for a new campaign, or edit a prior campaign to enable comments, with the information in 'Step 6' from this 'How do I add a Donation Campaign' article on our Knowledgebase:

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/kb/articles/how-do-i-create-a-new-donation-campaign

If enabling comments for an already published campaign, click the 'Edit' button for a campaign in 'Step 4', instead of the orange 'Add' button to add a new campaign.

To export the donations made by visitors and members to the online donation campaigns, please use the steps on this page from our Donations Guide:

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/guides/donations/reviewing-exporting-the-donations-report

I hope this helps with enabling and reviewing comments for the online donations!

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
