Anyone know how to create a link from a Photo Album?
I would expect it's pretty common to have a Story about an event as well as have a separate Photo Album as it's too clumsy to add lots of pics into a story. So, we put them in a Photo Album. Perfect.
It's easy enough to create a link within a story to a Photo Album. This is fine if the user found the story first.
But what if they find the Photo Album first? I would love to be able to direct a user back from the Photo Album to the matching Story.
We only have the Photo Album Description which does not provide any edit support.
At best all I can do is tell the user to do a search. Not very satisfactory.
I am only just setting up our site but pretty well finding a way to solve most issues. Would love to find a way around this one.
    Thanks

    Hello Ian,

Thank you for posting this. You are correct - if a user comes straight to the Photo album first, there's no simple way to direct them to another associated page.

I have made our team aware of this. I've requested that the Photo Album 'Description' section have more advanced editing capability, i.e. you would be able to add hotlinks to other webpages among other features, the way you can currently do in website stories and custom widgets.

I am not able to make any guarantees for implementation or timelines, but I have put your name on this suggestion so you will be notified if our team has feedback or makes progress on this.

In the meantime you can place 'plain' text into the Photo Album description, e.g., "Go to page x" or even a 'plaintext' (non-clickable) link like [ clubrunner.ca/trial ].

If you have more questions or comments please post again.

    Thanks Mickey for response.
You are correct - that's exactly what I would do.
    We'll look forward to it.
