Carousel with Donate link

Thank you for sharing this feedback while using the Dynamic Carousel widget.

At this time, there is no direct option to insert a link to a slide on the Dynamic Carousel to link to another website or page on the Club website.

I want to share, I have found a similar feedback item suggested by other ClubRunner users and have worked to include your feedback to link a whole slide on the dynamic carousel to a page or website URL. The product team will review the feedback report regarding the Dynamic Carousel and links.

Please note, there is a work-around, where the slide in the Dynamic Carousel can be edited to 'Show Description on the Carousel', which can include linked text, or a linked image which will appear on top of the slide in the carousel.

Using this method, an administrator can include another 'Image' into the description of the slide in the carousel, and then using the 'Link' editor tool, link the image in the slide to another website or page on the club site.

To do this, please follow these steps to open the Dynamic Carousel, enter an additional image in the slide, and link the image to another page or resource on the Club website.

1. To begin, login to your Club's Member Area
2. In the Club Member Area, click New Website (Beta) in the top-blue bar
3. In the grey bar below, click Home Page Designer
4. On the home page designer, hover-over the Dynamic Carousel and click the Out-bound Arrow icon at the top-right of the widget
5. On the Details for Dynamic Carousel page, click the Edit link for the slide to add the image & link to
6. In the Edit Slide dialog, check the Show Slide Description on the Carousel checkbox
7. In the Description textbox, click the Image editor tool
8. In the Image Dialog, click Browse Server to add your own button image to the image library, and into the slide description
9. After selecting or uploading the image from the image library, click the green Ok button on the Image Dialog
10. Returning to the Description textbox for the slide in the Dynamic Carousel, click the image once. It will highlight blue
11. After highlighting the image, click the Link editor tool
12. A new Link dialog will appear, choose the Custom URL link type
13. Paste the website address, including the "HTTPS://" portion of the link, into the Custom URL field. (For example, Google.com would be entered as https://google.com)
14. Click the green Ok button in the Link dialog to save the link to the image on the carousel slide
15. In the Edit Slide dialog for the carousel, click the orange Save button to save the image with its link on top of the slide
16. Click the Go Back link on the Details for Dynamic Carousel page
17. In the Home Page Designer, click the orange Publish button to review the image and link on the Club's dynamic carousel​

I also want to share, while entering the image in Step 8 & 9, you can enter a 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' size for the image using the Image dialog, to customize how large the image appears over the dynamic carousel slide.
