Hello, I am new to ClubRunner, and have watched some YouTube videos but they seem to be slightly different to what I am looking at on my screen ... previous version?

I want to remove a custom page from our website of an event that has now passed. It is in the Events menu on the Home Page. We need the page for next year so I don't want to delete it from the library.
How do I do this please so it isn't gone forever? I just want to take the page down from the website.

    Thank you
    Denise

    Hi Denise,

    That is a great question.

We do not have a way to remove content from the website directly, while still leaving it in a state that can be reused in the future. You do have a few options:

    1. Remove the menu entry. Most people will not be able to find your event page again, unless they're looking for it via a search or book mark it.
    2. In addition to removing the menu entry, like above, you can update the page to ensure that it is clear that it is the 2021/2022 date of the page, and have it serve as a historical reference. When you have your new event, you could even come back an update this page to link people to the current year page.
    3. Set the page as member only. This prevents the public from viewing the page, but not members.
    4. Backup the content, and delete the page. This option will fully remove the content from public access, and requires you to backup the content of the page. There are a few ways to backup a website, many browsers offer the option to save a page completely. You could also view the source of the individual widgets or page, and save that content too.

    I hope this helps!
