I'm on our District 7505 Public Information Committee, and our District feels it would be wonderful to include an automatic news feed of District Information to Club websites. We currently have to send District information by email as very few members know about the District websites. District information would be much more easily shared with clubs if it was easily available on their websites.

I've noticed there is already a Rotary News (RSS feed) planned on the "News and Updates" menu: https://nova.clubrunner.co/page/rotary-news-(rss)

    Our suggestion would be to:
    1. Change the name of the above link to 'Rotary International News'
    2. Add another menu link for 'Rotary District News' under this same menu.
    3. Have both these links automatically added to all Club sites, on an 'opt out' basis (ie, the club would be able to remove them from the menu if they don't want it)

Alternate / Additional approaches (to offer District's even even greater visibility) would be to:
    1. Automatically display a 'Rotary District News' widget which would automatically appear on the main page of all club websites within the District. This could be automatically added to all Club sites, on an 'opt out' basis (ie, the club would be able to remove it from the page if they don't want it)
    2. Automatically add District Events to all Club Calendars in their district. This could also be done on an 'opt out' basis (ie, the club would be able to remove any events they don't want)

District News Source Feed suggestion: The District News feed (for either of the above approaches) could be either an automatic feed from either a District Website's "News" page or a feed from a District's Facebook or Instagram page. It would be helpful to allow Districts to make this decision on which feed source they would like to use. Either approach should include both text and graphics, similar to the Rotary News feed shown in the Nova demo

    Hi Bill,

I appreciate you sharing your feedback, improving the ability for districts to share content with their clubs is something we'd like to tackle as part of updates to Nova.

The page on the Nova sandbox is one of the default pages we give to most customers, and can be recreated quickly from the page templates. Its just a RSS widget on a page, that happens to point to the Rotary International News Feed. RSS feeds from ClubRunner websites are also something under consideration for our website updates under Nova.

Clubs being able to list their Cloud Events on the district, and the district to be able to push events down to clubs is something we are also looking to improve during Nova once released.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback on ClubRunner and where we can improve!
