Hi folks, hope you're enjoying the Calgary RI Convention. Did my first email to be scheduled and discovered before it was time to be sent that I needed to change something BUT all I can do is cancel the scheduling which then deleted the entire email  I had just wanted to edit the email and then re-schedule it but now I have to completely re-do it. Is there any way that either an "edit" function be added or the "cancel" function changed to just cancel the scheduled send time, not blow away the entire email? Thanks!

    Hello Dianne,

Thank you for sharing this with us, and I am sorry to hear that the email was deleted.

If the "Cancel" option is used from the dropdown option on the right-hand side for the scheduled email, the email should have it's information saved, but appear in "Draft" status. Can you please share with me if you have used another "Cancel" option? I will do my best to reproduce this issue, and report it to our team.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the "Edit" option when the email is scheduled, I will gladly share it with our Product & Development team, so it can be considered for future improvements.

    Thank you,
    Marina.

Thanks Marina - and the email still being there in "Draft" status was exactly what I was expecting but it did not happen. I think the issue might be because I generated the email from directly within the member profile (not in the Email Communication Centre) pretty sure there are more options in the dropdown menu for emails generated there. So I tested again and in fact when a scheduled email is created and "sent" it shows up as a "Scheduled" email in the member email list, and the dropdown menu to the right only has "View" and "Cancel" as options, and when I cancelled it, the email disappeared, did not remain there in "Draft" status. There's already another thread in this forum under review right now with respect to the member profile Communications (emails from 2017 "stuck" there at the top of the list) so it seems reasonable that there's something going on for member specific email listings. I also did a screen print if you need me to email that to you. Feel free to go into my member profile and try it yourself, thanks! I also did a screen print if you need me to email that to you.

    Hi Dianne,

Thank you very much for your reply, and for sharing more details. I was able to test and reproduce this successfully. At this time, the direct emails are not being saved as draft when they are sent out from member's profile, but I have shared this example with our Product team, so that this functionality can be improved in the future. I am sorry for the inconvenience this have caused.

As a workaround until improvements are released, would it be all right to use the Communications -> Emails tab for scheduling emails? From that tab, they will be saved as drafts when cancelled, and you can certainly still use member profiles for direct, instant emails.

No problem at all Marina, thanks for researching it and establishing that it wasn't just me :) happy to do as you suggested until such time as an update is available.
