Managing size and positioning of YouTube videos.

    In Nova and perhaps all ClubRunner versions, the inserting of YouTube videos has changed. YouTube provided code which you inserted using the multi-media icon. This permitted you to change the size of the video image. You could also manipulate its position on the page. Now you seem to use only the URL and it appears to fill up the full width of the screen. Plus there is no place to reconfigure the size. Is there a way to make the older flexibility active?

    Thanks for the great question.

    You can still embed raw html from youtube, however I would recomend using the URL sharing feature over the manual html. The manual html version will have a fixed size video regardless of the device that is browsing the page, you are no longer able to drag to resize though. The new version is dynamically resized for the correct device that is viewing the page.

    You can use the HTML snippet embed option:

    Then click the green checkmark to confirm.

    You can also click the source mode button, and directly copy/paste the output if you prefer

    I would lean towards the automatically resizing one over the direct insert myself. I hope this helps!
