    Hi.

I'd like to send Event invitations to the prospects in my Membership success funnel. They don't appear on the list of emails to send to.

Is there someway to add them?

    Thanks

    Jim

I can see what you mean. I see the group called "Prospects" the message center and in volunteers, but it is not in Event Planner. This is an issue on our end. I have let our developers know about this issue and it will be resolved in the future. For now, you could create a new contact group for the Prospects and move the Prospects into that group. OK, Thanks David. I can do that.

I've been thinking about this and am wondering about the user experience for the prospect. They don't have an account on the system yet so can't log in. They can register as a member of the public but presumably we have to make the event "open" for them to register. Is that correct? If we'd like to have them come to a club event (ie one that is not open to public registration) how is that handled? We'd like their registration and attendance recorded on the system somewhere to go with their record. This would be so we can adjust their interest rating and give them credit for it when they do become members. Do the transactions like events stay with with their record like email traffic does? .

Prospects are contacts in ClubRunner. They are unable to login and would have to signup for events which are public. At the moment their attendance cannot be tracked due to this. I can see your point about having the Prospect to be able to signup for events and have their attendance be tracked. Once the Prospect becomes a member, it would be nice for their history to stay on their profile.
I have passed a suggestion onto our Product team about this. When a Prospect is created, instead of creating a contact for the person, we can create an "Other User" with a special type named "Prospect". This will allow the person to be able to login and register for member only events. Other users cannot be marked for attendance, but we might be able to change it so only Prospect-Other User can get marked for attendance. Once the Prospect gets accepted into the Club all of their data would stay in their profile. If the prospect gets removed/deleted the Other User would get removed too.

That was the sort of thing I was thinking of. It's some element of the engagement scoring I'd like to keep track of..

Having a prospect able to respond to event invitations would be an advantage. The sooner that a prospect feels that they are a part of the club, the more likely they will be to formally join.

    Thanks David.
