I am new to club runner but not so new to website maintenance. I would like to add a menu item to our site that takes a member directly to the page where they can pay dues. I understand that you have to be logged in first.

Looking at the "private documents" menu item I see something called "built in pages" and it has a list of existing ones and some of them require login first so they take you to a login page if you are not already logged in.

How do you add the page "member area/admin/myclubrunner/myaccountbalance" to the built in pages and the link to get the login page first? It appears to happen as part of the built in page.

I can add the menu item but need the built in page first I think.

    the website is "https://yorkrotary.org"

    Thanks,

    Hi Ken,

That is a good suggestion and I have passed it over to our product team to review for future updates. We're lucky in this case that we do already have a link that works like that, it is used when sending out invoices if the club has the only payment option.

To add the link to your navigation bar, you can add the following URL as a new custom URL in the menu system. This link is unique for just Ken's club:
http://www.crsadmin.com/gen/Login.aspx?aid=6534&rid=469(edit: fixed the link address) . For others, you need to switch out 6543 for your account's ClubRunner ID. If you have questions you can always send us a message through the support website, or email us!

This guide should help with the menu changes: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/801-building-the-navigation-menu

If you are logged in, it should take you directly to the page, and if you're not it will prompt you to login first.

    Zach,

Thanks. After awhile I figured out how to do what you wrote and it works. You did get our club number wrong, which I finally figured out. :)

When I am not logged in to club runner and click on the menu item, it takes me to the login screen just fine,

HOWEVER, it has the "keep me logged in" box checked. It doesn't do that when I log in using the normal member log in. How do you make it so the box is unchecked by default? o_O
I am worried that some of our 'more senior' members might not notice that and stay logged in on a computer that is not their own.

To summarize what I finally did:
    • go to 'modify navigation (menu)
    • choose a place to add the new item. Can be on main menu or any submenu.
    • Add Menu title (for example: Pay Member Dues)
    • choose "custom URL" in the first dropdown box
    • paste the link you provided with the correct club name in the 'url' box.
    • Save and publish
    • Test

    Hi Ken,

Sorry for the typo in the club id! I'm glad you were able to get it sorted. Regarding the login box checkmark, that is not something that can be controlled at this time . I will bring it up with our product team however so we can review it for future updates!
