We have stopped doing our bulletin on Club Runner. How do I delete the Bulletin Subscribe in the left column o fthe home page?

    Hello John,

Great question, that is a widget on the home page. As such, you can go into the website designer for the home page, hover over it, and click the X icon, and then publish the home page.

This guide covers the widgets buttons: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/927-widget-properties
This guide talks about adding widgets, but also covers how to publish the home page: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/925-adding-widgets-to-the-website-designer

Anytime a widget is added, moved on the page, or removed a publish is required.

If you have a moment, can you also share with us why you opted to no longer use the ClubRunner Bulletins?

The problem is that in Website designer there is no widget in the left column of the home page so I can not delete it. Look at our site to confirm this.
We discontinued the bulletin because there were numerous changes and it was difficult to keep up. We are using WORDwhich is much easier.

@John Schatz: John I am confused as to why you wish to remove the bulletin subscribe feature? If you are going to create a Word bulletin why wouldn't you want to share it too? You have a place in the communications/email portal where you can list the names and e-mails of those who wish to receive it.

May I also suggest you rethink the decision to go back to Word. There are some decided advantages to using the Clubrunner Bulletin system. Learn one template and stick with it. The bulletin was designed with the idea that you only have to write a story once and it can be posted to the website and the bulletin at the same time. You can also place stories in the bulletin that do not appear on the website with just a click.

As for Word, I do all my stories in Word in draft form and then just cut and paste the text into the CR story. I must, however, post a disclaimer to my reply. Our Club was doing a newsletter using Word/Adobe before I arrived and I created a website. That person still does the newsletter in the same format now nine years later. I use his material as the basis for the stories on our site. https://drydenrotary.org

If you wish some assistance, I would be pleased to help.
