ClubRunner Documents vs Download Files

    What is the difference between Documents under the Organisation - Documents tab

    with the Download files under the Website - Website Content tab, Home Page Download Files button?

    Hi Brenda,

    The biggest difference between Documents and Download Files, is that Documents have an added layer of security where you can set the file to either Public or Private. Meaning if the document's access level is set to Public, anyone who has the link can view the document, or if you set it to Private only those who have an active ClubRunner can login and view the document. But with Download Files, those documents are publically available, so anyone who clicks on the download file will be able to view it.

    So you may want to avoid uploading certain documents to the download files if they're of a sensitive nature.
