    Service Updates - January 19, 2017

    New Features and Improvements

    v3.2017.01.19

New Rotary Approved Website Themes: We're happy to introduce two new Rotary website themes! Working in conjunction with the Public Relations and Identity team at RI, these themes have been tightly integrated with Rotary's brand outlined in the updated visual and digital identity guidelines. You will see these new themes in your library, titled Vision and Community. Click here to learn more.

Bulletin Themes Color Variations: We've added many new color variations for the Minimalist and Minimalist Compact bulletin themes, allowing you to customize your newsletter look even further. Service clubs and associations that use our platform will also now see a new theme called Leadership.

Mobile App: Our mobile app is back! Available for iPhones and Androids, this app allows you to view your member directory, contact your members and executives/directors, as well as read the latest articles posted to your website.

Managing Membership Types: Improvements were made to the way you change membership details, making the process easier. All membership type changes are now done through one screen, where you are presented with options to edit the active member type, terminate or change the member type to an other user.

Calendar Items: Members and visitors will now be able to download an ICS file to add the calendar item details onto their own personal email calendar.

Show/Hide Sponsors on Calendar Items Details Page: You can now also add your sponsor ads on the Calendar Items details page! The Sponsorship module allows clubs to place text or image sponsor ads on their own website as a means of generating revenue. To view the complete list and choose which pages to display the ads on, click on the Sponsor Settings link from the Sponsors page. If the option for subsequent pages is turned off, the content on those pages will expand across what would have been the reserved right column meant for those ads.

Mail Merge Fields in Subject Lines: As per your feedback, subject lines for emails being created within the Dues and Billing, Events and Volunteer modules will display the name for those items on the screen, if it has specified rather than mail merge tags, which was the case before.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.01.19

Mobile View: Improvements were made to the mobile view of websites.

District Club Maps: The map on the Club Information page on District websites now uses the latitude and longitude values to display the club's meeting location.

District Launchpad: It was reported that the "Membership this Month" report was not including custom active member types in the total membership count, causing a discrepancy between the dashlet on the launchpad which was accurate; this has been fixed.

Image Library: The system was not saving which folder in the library you were last in during a session; this has been fixed.

Mini Calendar Widget: On our next-gen themes, the mini calendar automatically highlights all days that have events scheduled. This was not the case for those using Internet Explorer as their preferred browser; this has been addressed.

Date Picker on Contact Profiles: When editing a contact's birth date or anniversary, the date picker previously only displayed options for the past ten years, leaving you to type in the actual date; this has been fixed. For birthdays, you can now go back as far as 110 years through the date picker. For anniversaries, you can go back as far as 100 years and forward 3 years.

Email Statistics: Improvements were made for better reporting accuracy.

Default Year for Bulletins and District Org Chart: When you are directed to the bulletin list or the district organization chart, the system should automatically display information for the current year. It was reported that on occasion, these pages were directing to past or future years; this has been fixed.

    Service Updates - February 16 & March 2, 2017

    New Features and Improvements
    v3.2017.03.02

Club Info Page: The new Club Info and Settings page now also lists club executives. From here, you can easily modify your executive listing for the current year.

Improved Security: You will notice that when visiting ClubRunner websites, the URL will now always start with HTTPS. HTTP is a protocol for a secure connection where an additional layer of security is added. Please note that this does not apply to websites with a custom domain.

MyEventRunner: For all Zone accounts using ClubRunner, we've added a new column listing the District ID on the Registered Attendees report.

Introducing the Impression theme: Introducing our latest addition to our line up of next-gen themes - Impression. Rotary approved, this theme is the closest match to the Rotary's Visual Identity guidelines. Complete with a floating menu, it also automatically adds your club name on the navigation menu to keep your branding in place at all times.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.03.02

Event Planner: Event registrations where the last name of the attendee contained an apostrophe were not being saved correctly; this has been fixed.

Event Planner: It was reported that previously sent emails from the Events module could be reopened to save in edit mode; this has been addressed so that past emails can only be opened in read-only mode.

MyEventRunner: Updates were made to the View Registrations page to improve the way the names of the registrants were displayed. Names should no longer break into multiple lines.

MyEventRunner: UI updates were made to MyEventRunner whereby we've refreshed the look of the module.

Bulletin Wizard: UI updates were made to the Minimalist and Leadership bulletin themes to improve the visibility of hyperlinks against the background of the newsletters.

Bulletin Wizard: When trying to add an existing global custom widget to your newsletter, the edit capabilities would lock, preventing you from adding new or editing the existing content; this has been fixed.

Bulletin Wizard: When archived bulletins were copied from the new Bulletin Wizard page, newsletter editors were being redirected back to the older version of the bulletin designer. It was also noted that the stories from the archived bulletin were not copying over; this has been fixed.

Add Club to District - French Version: Districts using the French version of ClubRunner reported that when attempting to add a new club to the district list, they would receive an error after entering the Charter date; this has been fixed.

Website Designer - Multi-Bands Content Template: A few months ago, we had introduced a new page layout which allows you to create a multi-band look on your website. Each band had a different background color. To make the design aspect clearer, you will now see a description of the background shade within the designer itself. Band sections have been labeled to inform you which section has a white background, a light background and a dark background. Placing a widget in any of those sections will automatically change the widget's background to correlate with the color of the website theme you are using.

Club Info Page: When using the new Club and Info Settings page, if updates were made to the club name or ID fields, these changes were not reflected on the District's end (if the District is also using ClubRunner). This has been fixed.

    New Features and Improvements

    v3.2017.03.16

New Captcha on the Bulletin Subscribers Sign Up Form: To improve security of form submissions, we've updated the Captcha we use on the Bulletin Subscribers Sign Up form. We will be rolling the new version of Captcha out to all forms slowly.

Age Trend Reports: We've updated our Age Distribution report so that the listed age groups now match the age trends listed on RI's end. You will now see the age groups beginning with 29 and under and going up to 70 and over. Note, that if you are still seeing the old age groups, simply click on the gear icon to refresh the report.

Mobile App: Available for iPhones and Androids, the latest update allows you to view upcoming events and speakers. Click here to learn more.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.03.16

Bulletin Wizard: When creating a new bulletin or copying an existing one, the editor's name would not display; this has been fixed.

Bulletin Wizard - Story List: Per your feedback, now when you edit or add a new story to your newsletter, you will be redirected back to the list of stories available for your bulletin so you can continue to add more. Previously, we directed you back to the newsletter designer.

Event Planner RSVP: It was found that if a registrant clicked on the "Register Me" button more than once, duplicate registrations for that member would be created; this has been addressed.

Email Distribution List Options: Within the Email Message Center, if you checked the "Send a list of recipients as an attachment" option and then saved the email as a draft, the system would not remember this selection; this has been fixed.

New Club Info and Settings Page - Club Logo: When trying to update your club logo from the new Club Info and Settings page, to see your new image, you would have to refresh the page; this has been addressed so that the newly uploaded logo appears immediately.

Event Planner - AM/PM Fields: Previously, we displayed AM or PM fields for events for all of our customers, regardless of country. However, as per your feedback, those customers using ClubRunner in French, Russian, Italian, Romanian and Spanish will no longer see these references to time as they use military time.

    Service Updates - March 16 & March 30, 2017

    New Features and Improvements

    v3.2017.03.30

Bulletin Subscriber Form: We've updated the captcha on the the built-in Bulletin Subscriber form to Google's Captcha. This allows us to add more protection on this form, where visitors will be required to answer a validation question using the images displayed to sign up for your bulletin, ensuring that robots cannot tamper with your bulletin form.

Email History: You can now view a list of all emails you have received, including their status (whether you opened it on not), who sent it and when. Clicking on view will display the email right within ClubRunner for you. To see your email history, click on the My ClubRunner tab on your Admin page, and then on the My Email History link.

Speakers: When on the Speakers detail page, when you now click on the share to Facebook button, the speaker's picture will also automatically be included as part of your post, provided that it is 200px X 200px in size.

RI Integration Archive: Improvements were made to the RI Archive page so that you can now export results as well as add notes about any manual fixes you may have made. We've also updated column names as well as some notification messages in order to better clarify any integration error that may have occurred.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.03.30

Event Planner: For event setups where the payment method is set to pay by check, the email invitation the registrant receives did not include the specified instructions on how to pay; this has been fixed.

Event Planner Email Invitation Stats: When viewing the statistics for email invitations, the time displayed indicating when the email was sent was incorrect. This only affected a handful of clubs who did not have the correct time zone set; this has been addressed.

Recurring Calendar Item: On the Calendar or Event list page, if a recurring calendar item was clicked on, you would be redirected to the details of the first recurring instance, rather than the details of the event item you clicked on; this has been fixed.

MyEventRunner: It was reported that an event end time could be defined to be before the event start time when specifying your event details in MyEventRunner; this has been addressed.

Bulletin Wizard: When trying to add the bulletin editor's name in the Editor field, the system failed to automatically display names of members, as you typed; this has been fixed.

Bulletin Wizard: UI improvements were made to the Bulletin welcome page to better display the thumbnails of recent bulletins.

Bulletin Wizard: It was reported that when using a pre-defined widget in the new Bulletin Wizard, if an image was linked to a URL, you could not edit the link later; this has been addressed, so links can be updated.

Email Message Center: If you selected the "Send list of recipients as an attachment" option in your email, and saved your email as a draft, the system failed to remember your selection when you opened the email to send it; this has been fixed.

Email Message Center: When copying an email to resend, the system automatically selects the same recipient group that the previous email was sent to. It was found that if the distribution list included recipients that were members and contacts, the copied recipient list was not including members; this has been fixed.

Club Info & Settings (French Language): In our French version of ClubRunner, when changing the club logo, the page would not refresh to display this change; this has been addressed.

Grants: On the Grants Activity log, it was reported that text inside the pop-up window could not be highlighted, and that the window would close if you clicked anywhere within the pop-up window itself; this has been fixed.

Grants: When adding details to the Individual Project Report, if the link icon was clicked on the toolbar, this would cause the browser window to freeze; this has been fixed.

    Service Updates - April 13 and April 27, 2017

    New Features and Improvements

    v3.2017.04.27

Enhanced Committees Module: We've increased the document storage limit within the Enhanced Committees Module to 10MB per file.

Next-Gen Websites: On all Next-Gen themes, we've added a "Back to Top" icon on the webpages. This icon will always display on the bottom right corner and will also appear on mobile devices, making it easier for website visitors to navigate to the top.

Mass Download Documents: Improvements were made to the mass download function on documents, so that if you have a file name within a folder, the system will automatically append a number after the name to prevent errors.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.04.27

Bulletin Wizard: On occasion, when adding a preformatted widget to your bulletin, if you attempted to go into the Properties screen for the widget, the page would not load; this has been fixed.

MyEventRunner: Only affecting a handful of clubs, in specific situations, the Attendee list within MyEventRunner was not populating with the complete list of registered attendants; this has been addressed.

Committees Module: Improvements were made to the logic behind the way the system validates a member being added to a committee.

Birthdays and Anniversary Report: When filtering by Anniversary, this report was not including new members; this has been fixed.

Dues and Billing - Monthly Balance Report: When filtering by a specific date range within the Monthly Balance Report, the dates displayed were incorrect; this has been rectified.

Dues and Billing - Export to Quickbooks: When exporting your report to a desktop version of Quickbooks, you have the ability to change field names in your report. The downloaded report was not displaying any updated field names; this has been fixed.

Rotary RSS widget: Technical issues on RI's end had caused the Rotary RSS widget to stop working; this has been fixed.

    New Features and Improvements
    v3.2017.05.11

Stories: You can now display stories on your homepage in a column layout. To change the way your stories display, navigate to the website designer, and then to the Home Page Stories widget properties. Towards the bottom of the page, under the Settings section, change the layout option to Columns. The regular option will list the stories as they've been before.

Events: Just like for stories, you now have the option to display upcoming events on your homepage in a column layout rather than a list as well. To do so, navigate to the properties page of the Upcoming Events widget on your home page. Towards the bottom of the page, under the Setting section, change the layout option to Columns. The regular option will list events as they've been before.

    Fixes and Other Changes
    v3.2017.05.11

Events Calendar: On the Events Calendar page, events that occur on the same day are now sorted by time.

Next-Gen Website Themes: When viewing any Next-Gen websites on the Firefox browser, the menu logo looked distorted; this has been fixed.

Global Custom Widgets: Updates were made to the way ClubRunner handles Global Custom Widgets to improve the data sharing between website and bulletin.

Bulletin Wizard: Improvements were made to the speed at which existing bulletins are copied.

District Committees: It was found that when editing a member profile, if that member was also part of a committee, the updated information would not reflect on the Committee pages; this has been rectified.

District Attendance: Updates were made to the Monthly Attendance page for clubs to address rare situations where values could not be edited.

MyEventRunner: When turning on the 'Display Tax Inclusive' option, there were reports that the total was not accurately calculated during the registration; this has been addressed.
