I'm playing around with the bulletin editor, but struggling.
    • I click on the placeholder for a graphic. Sometimes it lets me insert a picture there, sometimes it doesn't.
    • When I want to change a picture, sometimes it puts two icon bars above it, sometimes I only see one. When there are two icon bars, one overlays the other.
    • I can't resize a picture to exactly the size I want except by dragging the handles. But if the picture is too large, I can't see the handle on the lower right corner. And the only option for resizing is "Original" which seems rather limited.
    • When I hyperlink a button and type in "https://" it uppercases the next letter. Should never automatically change the case in a URL.

    Hello Carl,

Thank you for sharing the issues that you ran into with the Bulletin Editor.

Can you please confirm for me which user record you accessed the account on, so I can make sure to review the issues and work towards resolving them?

Could you take a screenshot of this so I can attempt to replicate on my end, I want to make sure I am understanding what is happening, outside of my testing as well.

A screenshot would also help me here also, but I suspect I have a better idea what is going on here. I know under the old editor you were able to set a specific height and width, which is not available in the new editor right now. This is something we’re discussing on how to improve under Nova.

If the image is truly too large, then its likely it should be resized at the source, instead of just in the display. When using the current ClubRunner, setting the height and with is just a “display” feature, the original image is still very large. I think the best path forward would be to update the image. We’ve made this a lot easier by using the new image library, we could resize the image to something that would work better.

    I wasn’t able to reproduce this when testing, this is what I am seeing, I manually typed in each character: h t t p s : / / g o o g l e . c o m and did not see it transform once I left the editing area.

If you are still seeing this happen, can you please share more details for me to investigate?

I'm using cleohagyard, which is the only login I have for the Nova site. I'm playing with the bulletin which has a big yellow picture of Rosie the Riveter.

By the way, I'm also using the CURRENT ClubRunner in another tab on my club's website, of course using my normal login. I hope that doesn't get things confused!

I haven't been able to reproduce it this morning. I tried both widgets which included pictures, as well as text-only widgets where I inserted a picture inside the text.

Looks like we're talking about the same thing. With this particular picture, I can't resize it as small as I'd like, it just snaps back to its original size.

That's normally what I do. I find that often mail systems can malfunction because they improperly display a picture much larger than you'd intended, so I normally create graphics which are at the smaller size using a tool like paint.net.

I'm not able to reproduce that this morning.

Thank you for the confirmation, it should not impact you normally. You can use a different browser profile, or browser all together, if you want to make sure you avoid any conflicts.

For this specific example, I would strongly consider resizing the actual photo via the image library so that its fitted properly to this space.

Glad to hear you’ve been able to find ways to get the images edited, for basic editing as I mentioned in my previous reply, the library is great at that. Let me know if you give it a shot and try it out.

I’m also glad to hear that the general issues are no longer occurring.

Please let me know if you have any further feedback on testing, thanks!
