Is there any widget which permits one to embed a video directly into a bulletin. Is there a command which permits one to access the source code in a text widget or the stories widget?

    Hello John,

This is a good question that is asked periodically by our users.

For bulletins, please do not directly embed a video inside the bulletin. Instead, add a direct link to the (YouTube, Vimeo, Rotary.org, etc) video.

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/791-how-do-i-add-a-link

The reason for this is that most most major email programs (Gmail, MS Outlook, AOL, etc.) consider embedded video (or any type of embedded code) a potential security threat and don't load the video in the email window.

Webpages behave differently, so it's no problem to embed a video onto your public homepages.

As for access to the 'source code' inside the bulletin -> you can't edit the source code of automated widgets (e.g., Events, Speakers, etc) or Preformatted widgets. You can however edit the source code of Custom widgets (global or page specific). Hover over a custom widget in 'New Bulletin Beta' on the 'Design' screen and click the 'arrow with a square' button:

This will allow you to see a 'full screen' edit view just of this custom widget, where you can click the gray 'Source' button to reveal the widget's source code:

Let me know if you have further questions.
