Home Page Design - Meeting Info

    Meeting Time.

    Some clubs, ours for one, and I know of a few more, meet at different times during the month.

    For example our club meets as follows:
    1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 12:00 pm
    2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm

    Would there be a way to make the ''meeting day and time" optional and then add a field for "optional meeting time" below the "meeting day and time" field as a text field to add the information that I wrote above for our club's meeting time.

    I am enjoying browsing through the Nova Sandbox Preview

    I'll second that request. Clubs can have fairly complicated patterns for their meeting times and locations, so that's best expressed with open-form text description and a calendar which is well maintained. Currently I have to say "Usually meets at ______ but check the calendar".

    Thank you for the feedback.

    The current limitations for the club meeting times have been related to how it can be entered and tracked at Rotary. All meeting details must have a time, and location, there is not an option for us to omit this data as part of the integration services. So while we may be able to support your specific request in ClubRunner, it would mean that data would not be available at Rotary at all, meaning your club couldn’t be found through through the Club Finder.

    We do want to find a way to support both clubs who have multiple meeting times, and ensure that it works well with the Rotary Integration services for future Nova updates.

    We have the same problem but it sounds like it's Rotary rather than Clubrunner that needs to catch-up with reality.

    OK, I think I have found a go around for this but will need a small change if possible.

    I inserted a text widget below the "Club Information" widget, spelling out the meeting times.

    What I would like to have from the developers is to move (or add) the meeting comments line to just below the Meeting Schedule (meeting time) on the Cub Information widget.

    Our club meets pretty regularly but we have exceptions and a separate summer schedule. With that, we fill in the information Rotary International collects but I don't use the widget. Instead, I placed a text-only widget at the top of our page and added the meeting information how we want it to be read... https://portal.clubrunner.ca/8000

    NOTE: Our club's website doesn't use the 3-column layout either because it is too busy when accessed by phone or tablet. Instead, I broke out most information under the menu tab's custom pages. Click on the icons at the top when editing to see what it will look like on each of the different devices.
