Include an 'Open' Option in the Member Profile 'Suffix' Field on the Personal tab

    My club, like many others, has a number of members who have received public recognition for their services to the community under the national honours awards, such as OAM, AO etc. These honours are meant to be included in their name when addressing them, eg John Smith AO, Jane Smith OAM. The 'Suffix' field under the 'Personal' tab would be a great place to include these recognitions. However there are a limited number of defined options in the dropdown box that appears when this field is selected, e.g. Jr. Sr.
    Would it be possible to open up this field so that the appropriate suffix can be added to the names of those members who have been awarded these honours?

    Thanks for your post!

    I can confirm that this is feedback our team has received in the past.

    At this time, the profile suffixes are set with these specific values, so that they can successfully integrate to Rotary International. Checking a My.Rotary.org profile, I do see that the same values displayed in ClubRunner are entered at Rotary International when editing the My.Rotary.org profile suffixes.

    Custom or 'Open' suffixes would not be able to integrate to My.Rotary.org, since Rotary International is expecting these specific suffix values. I have added your club's request to enter custom or 'Open' suffix values for the ClubRunner member profiles in the feedback report to our Product team. We are very receptive to feedback from our users and Administrators like yourself. Please note, on the Support team, we would not be able to confirm a specific date for when these feature improvements would be available in the systems.
