Is there a banner on the demo home page?

I am kind of hoping not. One of the things I discovered is that once you define the banner on the Home page it appears on EVERY page. You can’t exclude it or have a different banner on other pages. This disallows using special purpose pages such as an online viewable electronic brochure without a banner or large appealing photographs different on some pages. If this remains as it is, I guess I’d rather not have a banner or manually place it as a picture on most pages but not all.

I want to confirm that the current theme for the Nova portal, is a theme that does not feature a banner, in the same manner as some of the classic ClubRunner banner feature. Some layouts will have special areas called “banner areas”, that behave a little bit different than other layout areas. Content placed into the banner area will always touch the edges of the browser window, even if the browser’s total width is over the maximum document size.

So they can act as if they are a banner, but it is not the same as setting a banner for all pages. Its just an area of the layout where you can add content, and that content will attempt to touch the edge of the screens.

We do have some banner based themes that work this way, but we do not suggest customers use them by default. Right now we still have the same themes and functionality in Nova for the website designer, outside of the image library / editor, that the current version of ClubRunner has.
