In general, I like the new method of navigating around all the CR features. I find it more intuitive and better organized than the current blue-bar / gray-bar / side-menu method.

As you roll it out, please publish a one-sheeter to help people find their favorite features that they use all the time. Make sure the search function in the upper right contains all the previous terms and their synonyms, and the pointer to the right page shows up right at the top of the search results. It looks like the search function isn't working yet.

I expect people may be confused by the dashboard's Administrators/Executives/Editors/Members distinctions. It's not totally clear that those are four tabs, and what exactly might be put in each of those categories.

By the way, at the top of the left Home menu is "Dashboards", so I would expect that to expand into two or more dashboards when I click it. Instead I get what looks like a SINGLE dashboard, which has four words at the top which are easy to ignore. It appears that you intended each of those to be a "dashboard" in your terminology, but it threw me off when I first looked at it.

    Hello Carl,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the updated Navigation in Nova.

I’m glad you’re finding the new navigation layout easier to work with!

The search function at the top of the page is currently geared for finding “objects” in the system like User records (members, contacts, etc), Events, but not specific pages in the system like creating a new event. For example if you search for “11th music fest” it should return the music fest event.

What else would you like to be able to find via the search system so that we can consider that in future updates?

Do you find this the same in ClubRunner today? The Welcome Dashboard, and its tabs while Nova features, are not new to ClubRunner Nova itself. Each dashboard contains features / links for the type of users in question: Administrators, Officers, Content Editors, and Members of the Club.

Only dashboards you have access to are available when logging in, since our default accounts are now all Administrators, they can see all dashboards. A regular member for example will only see the Members Dashboard, and will not be able to see the others.

From your point of view, how could we improve on this front to make it more clear that you can interact with those tabs and switch to them?

All the various sections of CR. The helpful explanation pages and tutorial videos. The name of the website pages, maybe even its content. Anything in the menu structure on the left.

Good point. Honestly, I still mostly use the Classic Admin page because I got used to where things were located. But I totally understand that would be going away at some point and I would need to find things again.

I was more thinking about all the club members who rarely use CR. The thing that might help is when you hit the "Dashboards" item in the left menu, to then expand the list of available dashboards underneath it. Yeah, it's redundant with the items appearing at the top of the page, but it's helpful for people who don't use CR that often.

I'm not sure if the search system will be able to entirely support all of that, but the message is received loud and clear: as much as we can provide ;). If you had to pick one thing to be first, before others, any input on that front?

Feedback on the current, and or Nova dashboards is very welcome! Let us know how it goes and if there is anything else on the dashboards content we can improve, or display.

We know getting members to go to the website, and login, and do something can be a huge hurdle in some cases. This is why there is a large push on our end to make the Mobile App the first class user experience for regular members. That’s not to say we won’t be improving the Members Area for them as well, but we are already seeing improved engagement at the club and district level through the app. As a note, you will only see Dashboards for which you have access. So for regular members, they will land right into the Member dashboard and not have any other options. We’ve tried to add the relevant information to each dashboard to make it easier to get to what you need with one click.

Probably the things you figure where people might get lost in the new system. So things in the menus, and maybe some synonyms that people use. Like "meetings" for "events".
