Non-members registering for event

    In Australia you cannot have non-members registering for events even if you have allowed public registration. Is there any way around this because Event planner is pretty useless if the public can't register for big events.

    Thank you for your question!

    Guests can register for event, so long as the event does not have a fee. If the event has a fee, then guests can only register if they can successfully pay for it online. Ensure that there is no event fee listed for your event under the Payment options, and guests will be able to register without an issue.

    Am running into this wall today in 2022 - Inability to allow Public Guests to register when we only want to have cash or check payment methods is making the Event Planner module essentially worthless for special events. Why is Clubrunner Event Planner designed to preclude identifying a price and allowing Public/Guests to register and pay only by check or cash? And if it makes a difference I am in the USA.

    If the Event Planner event is set with a fee greater then $0 for the registration, this fee will appear on the event's registration page without being hidden from the registrants. You can set the event's fee by using the information in 'Step 2' from the 'Update & Review Payment Settings' section of this article on the ClubRunner Knowledgebase:

    For an example of how an Event Planner event appears on the website when it is set with a fee, please see this 'Club Fish Fry & BBQ' event registration page from our Rotary Club of Greentown demonstration account:

    From the information shared in your message, it appears that the public guests are able to save their registration without payment. Please note, guests will be able to register for an Event Planner event without paying if the event's fee is set to $0.     Additionally, Administrators can save the registrations for public guests without entering payments for the guests, by using the steps in this guide:

    Another method guests can register without payment, would be to have a member add the guests to the member's own registration. This would allow members to register themselves & their guests choosing the 'Pay by Check' option & not require the member to submit payment for their guest's registration online. Members can add guests to their registration by using the steps in this article:

    Re-iterating, guests will be able to register without paying online if the event's 'Fee' in the 'Payment Settings' is $0, or if a member registers the guests while the 'Allow Members to Register Guests' Event Planner setting is set to 'Yes' & if the 'Require members to pay to complete registration' (Abbreviated to 'Pay to Register' option) is set to 'No'.
