We have just upgraded to Nova (Beta) and all is looking very good. The only question I have right now is when will Smart Lists be able to be edited (description) and saved for future emails? Great feature.

    Thank you, Jim

    Hello Jim and Dianne,

Dianne, very glad we're working to update you to Nova.

Jim, after you login to your club website member area > running down left side > click "Settings". Scroll down a bit, near bottom right click "Smart Lists".

Because so many of our Smart Lists are meant to auto-update (e.g., your Active members, or your club execs, etc.) - they won't be editable. But please feel free to click the green "Add" button to create your own smart list.

Just a caveat that you can get very advanced when creating smart lists (for example, I want a list to include only the people in a specific geographic area or zip code, etc.). But please do experiment with your own Smart Lists. If you're looking for something in particular please post again.

    Hi Micky
I am getting the hang of Smart Lists. I created a couple of new ones yesterday for mailing our Club Bulletin and that worked well. However I notice several Lists need updating, for example "Active Members who never logged into the Club" lists all Active and Honorary members. Can I update these Lists? Also is it possible to sort them for members use so the most used appear at the top? I guess the alphnumeric naming achieves this but is there another way?
    Thank you
    Jim

    Hi Micky
I just noticed that several Smart Lists in Settings are not replicated in the Communications tabs. For example Active Members appears in Smart Lists in Settings but not in the email or bulletin Smart Lists. I know this is a Beta release so maybe it's a WIP.
    Thank you
    Jim

    Hi Jim,

Great observation on spotting a list that isn't in the email area. We have designed smart lists so that you can control which modules they're exposed under. That "Active Members" smart list is for the batch order system as part of finances, and not specifically for emails.

Pulling a screenshot from the SmartList page, you can see the Active Member group is available in Batch Orders, but not set for emails.

Here is a screenshot from the default Active and Honorary Members All grouping, you can see its available in exports and emails.

Thank you for sharing this. You are correct that it is just an alpha-numeric sort on the listing of smart lists for now. I have shared your feedback with the team as well to consider for future updates.

You are not able to edit or interact with the built in system lists, but I suspect you would like to be able to hide or rename them. If there is anything else that you'd like to change, please also let me know!

Thanks Zach for clarifying this. I will now work with the list in the email area. Too much there for a Club of our size.

I am looking forward to your feedback, and even just knowing you'd like to disable the lists is a great starting point.

Let me know what you find on your end and if there are any further questions I can assist with.

Or maybe being able to "hide" lists not needed, so that they are there in case there is a need for them in the future??
