I haven't been able to replicate this on our sandbox or other test accounts. Could you confirm which template you are inserting and which prospect you are trying on? I believe $ProspectReferredBy$ should work to show the person who was the referrer. At least as of today, I don't believe there is a way to include the person who referred them into the messages sent. Though I have shared this with the team and looking into what sort of options we might have to use this in the future.

The Membership Success templates live in their own type, which separates them from the regular communication templates. The emails themselves are primarily used in the notifications the system sends when forms are completed, notifying the administrator for the module / user in question. Is there a specific template you think should always be available, or just looking to access more templates in general?

We tend to keep templates in separate areas, as not all merge fields work in all modules. You cannot access merge fields related to an events specific properties, within the regular communication module for example. The merge fields would end up being blank, because the system is not directly connected to the correct event in this case.

The ability to enable or disable story titles is only a feature for the Bulletin's version of the story widget, and it is a property within its widget settings. This feature is not available for the website stories widget, though I did share feedback you were looking for it. Nova has not yet changed the Bulletin / Website designers or features, outside of the new email targets for Bulletins.

I was trying to send the message template External: Thank a member for Referral. It was a bit confusing and after sending the message I did get the message to enter more information in the body of the email. HOWEVER. The message WAS sent to the referring member properly. Although the template did not have information for the field $referrerfirstname$. It just left it blank. (in this case the Prospect is Terry Smith (a pseudonym used for testing) and the referring member is me (Michael Hosking).

Perhaps membership success should be accessible from the Home Menu?

Thanks for the information on the Story Widget. I see now that the bulletin stories widget settings (*) contain a global option to display titles of each individual story.
