Rather than make a ticket, I thought I would post this issue here because other sites may be facing the same issue. We all likely began as an extension of clubrunner.ca such as https://portal.clubrunner.ca/###, then we purchased a unique URL.

I finally got into my Google Analytics and found this message:

Property Rotary Club of Dryden is receiving data from redundant hostnames. Some of the redundant hostnames are:
Redundant hostnames are counted as separate rows in reports, so hits that are going to the same page on your site from different hostnames will be split into multiple rows. With data split across multiple rows, traffic to specific pages will appear lower than it actually is.

To avoid this problem, consider setting up a 301 redirect from one of your redundant hostnames to the other, or create a search-and-replace filter that strips "www." from hostnames.

Google Tag Assistant Recordings can help you verify that your redirect is setup correctly, or that your filter is working as intended.

I am not sure where to begin. I have installed Google Tag Assistant but haven't used it yet. Both of the "Redundant" names are the new names so does that mean the name Google is tracking is the portal.clubrunner.ca/ URL.

    Hello John,

You might want to go into the Admin area, and check the property url, and ensure that the domain is setup correctly.

You can see on my test account under the property settings that i still have the portal address!

    Good luck!
