Capture.PNG Capture.PNG I have created a page (see attached) that has an ad on it that I would like to remove. The ad shows up just below the piano, and when the page is loaded the ad changes to a different one (it's some kind of ad rotator).

Is there any way of removing it? I can edit the text next to the image, I can edit the image, but no way to edit / delete the ad. What am I missing?

    Hi Clark,

That is the ClubRunner ad spot, these ads help offset the cost of customer subscriptions. If you would like to get the ads removed, it requires contacting our team and agreeing to the ad removal fee. The cost is $99 per year and once ready to move forward, please contact us at sales@clubrunner.ca or by filling out a ticket here: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/new-ticket

Offset the cost of customer subscriptions?? Your customers are already paying you a monthly fee to host their website with you. This is the first I have ever seen a website host requiring its customers to pay a fee to NOT have ads on their site.

    Hi Clark,

    Thanks for following up.

The banner ads that you see on your site are controlled by ClubRunner and are an integral part of the ClubRunner pricing model. This section of ads is what allows ClubRunner to offer our service at the current rates. The ads that are shown on club and district websites are only from our own partners and Rotary approved vendors.

The current ads in rotation are from:
    • ClubRunner software
    • ClubRunner mobile app
    • Russell Hampton
    • Sage/Paya

As mentioned previously, we option to remove the advertising to clubs who feel strongly against displaying ads on their Rotary website, but this incurs an increase in the annual subscription costs of $100.

In my opinion, your "Clubrunner pricing model" should not include built-in ads. Nobody wants those. If clubs were set up ad free, and then you offered clubs $100 a year to allow you to run ads on their sites, I strongly suspect you would not get many takers.

Sure, you can argue, it's the same thing. Technically that might be true, but it is a business practice that does not generate positive feelings about clubrunner..
