Rotary Club Makeup Recording Work Process Ideas

    What administrative process do you use to prevent recording a makeup twice?
    I get records of make up by letter, note, email, phone call and attendance lists at Rotary events besides club meetings. Occasionally I enter a make up twice because I have gotten the report twice. What do you do to prevent that error?
    We have 100 members and a lot of people reporting makeups. One member has 67 years of perfect attendance. I don’t have a rigid way to enter makeups so the format I enter is not standard but CR does not identify duplicate makeup entries anyway. I don’t really want to maintain a list of all makeups to check before entering a new makeup. Any other ideas? Thanks. Jim
