Our website uses the widget, Club Executives and Officers, on the home page. It is fairly large because it includes the officers, board members and office staff. (https://yorkrotary.org)

Is there a way to 'clone' the first widget with a different name so that I can shorten it for a weekly bulletin without affecting the website one?

I still want the officers to be updated like the original widget and don't want to create a custom widget that requires manually changing names instead of selecting them from the database. Looked around in the help section and didn't find anything that seemed to be useful for my request - if I missed it let me know.

I have attached a zip file with a copy of a test bulletin (Announcer) outlook msg so you can see the list on the left side. The weekly information on the right is not always that long and all of the people shown are not needed for the weekly email list - just looks out of place.

Our staff has been using MailChimp for several years to do the weekly bulletin and now that we are on club runner, I am working on a weekly bulletin for our members and want to add a widget similar to the website one but only including officers. Although I haven't tried it, I suspect that if I remove the board members from this widget they will be permanently removed from the website also.

I am pretty new to club runner and learning as fast as I can. Haven't tried to create a custom widget yet.

BTW, just taking another look and the "preview" page in the beta bulletin section doesn't look like the one that I sent to me via the "send test to myself". The left side text shows larger than it actually is in the sent version.

    Hi Ken,

The website and Bulletin widgets should not be shared, so you can place it in the bulletin and make changes as you see fit. However, the widget simply shows all officers reported in the executives and directors module, there is not a way to limit it at this time. If you only wanted a list of specific officers, you would have to manually maintain that. I will pass this over to our product team for their feedback and considerations in future updates to ClubRunner.

To confirm for you, any changes made in the executives and directors module will show up in both the Bulletin and website widgets. There is no way to only have it change in one but not the other.

The preview is intended as what it should look like when viewed in a browser, it may not be 100% accurate to your received copy in your email client. Email clients are a lot like web browsers where they all have their own set of standards that they follow, a lot of those standards are implemented with slight differences. Additionally email clients also have their own quirks and limitations. An email that looks great in the Apple Mail app may not work/display the same in the Outlook Desktop client in Windows. We do the best that we can to ensure that delivery will be generally consistent with each email client, however the received email cannot be 100% the same for all users.

For example, you may have set a specific font size or font face and if the user doesn't have that font will not look the same as it does to you. They may also have their computer or device configured to enlarge the font, which would also drastically alter how the email arrives.

I hope this helps to address the reason why it doesn't match the preview!

    Got it! Thanks.

Not sure what I am going to do next but the information is useful.
