The newsletter sign up page on our website (yorkrotary.org) automatically adds the person to the group 'member subscribers'. We have a separate group "non member subscribers" that these persons should be added to.

How do I fix this so the addition will go to the correct group?

I have searched the forum and and the help but did not see anything. I could view the built in page but couldn't change it.

    Hi Ken,

That is a great question, it looks like at some point in the past the club renamed the default "Bulletin Subscriber" list to be your member subscriber list. At this time there isn't a way to change which group persons are added to when they use the signup option on the website. However, in your case you could switch the names of the groups, then switch the contacts between the groups, and you would be able to achieve your desired outcome!

These guides cover our contact module, and may help: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/section/778-contacts

Thanks for the quick reply. I can do what you said. Have nearly 400 members to change however.

It would have been nice if somewhere there was a note that said something like "Bulletin subscribers is the default group for people who sign up using the web page. Do not delete this. You might want to make a separate group for your members" . It could be a default note in the group properties maybe.

Would have saved us a bunch of time.

    Thank you for that feedback!

I will absolutely pass that over to our product team for their consideration.

Edit: You can actually safely delete the Bulletin subscriber group, the system will automatically re-create it if another person uses the signup.
