I continue to have inconsistent results when doing the same steps. As I am watching or reading tutorials, I also notice my 3.0 looks nothing like the 3.0 in the tutorials. Could this be my problem??

On one of my site pages, i want to add a related page in the menu to the left one of my custom pages. When I edit the menu, a screen that says add links to links widget shows up and there is no way to access the custom page I made. It makes me put in a new link and when I press save it brings up a whole new screen to create a page.

I have hours and hours trying make things work. I know it must be operator error, but this operator really needs help.

Anyone out there to help me?

    Adding to my post.

#2: from my header menu, under About Our Club, Become A Member Join Rotary Today...works just fine. If you go to Welcome to Our Club and look at the subpages to the left, and click on Become A Member Join Rotary Today...it does not work and am unable to locate this page from the master site page library. Clubrunner wants me to create a whole new page. Why do I have to continue to duplicate pages as I did on the Presidents Message? Can I get the site page from the site page library??????

Thank you....I have multiple pages like this to figure out.

    Hi Barb,

When working with the Site Page menu system, its default is to add new content to the site page collection. When linking to content outside of the site page itself you will need to use the Link link type. The Link link type allows you to add a link to any other content either in ClubRunner or externally.

So for example if you wanted to link a site page to a specific custom page like your "Press this Button! Make a change" page, you would first want to visit the page on the club's website and note the address: https://walnutgroverotary.org/page/press-this-button-make-a-change. Once you've noted the address, you can come back into the Site Page menu system and add a new link. Make sure to choose the Link option from the link type drop down and insert your pages url and title.

I would like to note that Site Pages are our older page type, and would encourage customers to opt for the Custom Page feature over Site Pages in most cases. Site Pages are great for a collection of highly related content, but offer no customization outside of that. Additionally you need to create and manage all of the subpages through the individual site page. Which can make finding that content later harder. For custom pages, each custom page sits in the overall custom page library, so it is far easier to locate the page(s) you are after much more quickly. Only the top level Site Page shows up in the site page library.

THank you very much...I understand and have been changing some of my content to be a link. Don't like where it sits on the page...like a separate 'link' instead of a part of the group of content.

I'll begin using custom pages and see if I can grasp that concept. The site page was simple and easy for me. But understand their limitations.
Thanks very much for getting me to the next step.
