Clubrunner (and RI) as it is supports a limited list of titles and suffixes, but many of them are culture-locked to a couple of cultures and Rotary is a global organisation. It would be nice if, at least in their Clubrunner Profiles, people could add in the prenomials and postnomials relevant to the culture/economy where they reside. As it is, people are entering as part of their names which tends to muck up RI synchronisation.

Postnomial example specific to Australia: If you are awarded one of the national honours, for example Member of the order Australia, you are entitled to add the postnomial "OAM" after your name. If you are a chartered professional engineer, you are entitled to add CPENG after your name. It is actually impolite to not add OAM after the name when you refer to someone who holds that honour in an official publication. As of now, the only option is to change that person's Surname from "Smith" to "Smith OAM" in Clubrunner.

Examples of Prenomials that people want: "PDG" "Dip-Ing." etc etc.

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for sharing your input on this issue

At the moment for a member's prefix / title / prenomial values can be set by the club and or individual. We do have a prescriptive a list of of options, however any value up to 12 characters can be entered. This will also be synchronized with Rotary International, as they support an open value to be added. This should allow you to fit in things like PDG, Dip-Ing, etc.

For the member's suffix / postnomials these are a strict list of allowed values, this is a limitation is due to syncing with Rotary International. The list of supported values in the member profile are the only values we can sync to Rotary International.

I have shared your feedback with our product team for their consideration in future updates.

Thanks Zach. I'll try the prenomial thing. I can't imagine needing more than 12 characters in Australia, although I can see problems in Germany:)

I understand that for the suffixes Clubrunner is currently limited by whatever design choices have been made in RI development which seem to be defined by whatever is popular in Nrth America. It does however present a real problem for me, because if someone has an AM they do (and reasonably) expect that to be after their name, especially in things like directory cards. Maybe a field that is *not* synchronised with RI?

Note that postnomials are not the same thing as suffixes, and they appear after the suffix. Similarly, prenomials are not the same as prefixes/titles and they appear before the prefix/title.
