The default photo format on Apple devices is Heic. We find many Apple users are unable or unwilling to change default settings. Since Club Runner only accepts Jpeg files, administrators have to convert many submitted photos. Are there any plans to incorporate an HEIC to JPG converter or to accept HEIC files in native form?

    Hello Michael and Dianne,

Thank you both for posting. A built-in HEIC to JPEG converter inside ClubRunner would be a good idea. I am submitting this feedback on your behalf, however I don't know how complex this would be? I cannot offer any guarantees or timelines. Please note if the user has a standard Mac computer, converting HEIC to JPG should be built in natively:

As for an easily opened web image file like JPEG or PNG - I don't know when this will happen? From what I 'm reading HEIC is a Mac proprietary format. This may have been lifted, but when it was released there were licensing fees involved to incorporate/view HEIC files into various systems, which is why it hasn't been easily adopted. For example HEIC won't open natively (without downloading a viewer or converter) in Windows 10 or 11:

I will pass forward your suggestion of an HEIC to JPEG converter inside CR (JPEGs will open on anything, even on Macs/PCs from 20 years ago). Please post again if you have more questions.
