Volunteer Signups for Recurring Events

    Is there a way to create volunteer signup lists for regularly occurring events/meetings? Our club members assist with a variety of charitable causes on a weekly and monthly basis-using a different group of volunteers each time.
    We currently use the 'Calendar Items (Recurring)' module to schedule these regularly occurring events, but there is no way I can see to utilize or link a volunteer signup list to those. We also don't want to manually create standalone events each and every time-that would require a LOT of extra work for the dozens of events we have each month.
    I see a lot of other threads requesting ways to enhance the 'Meeting Responsibilities (Duty Roster)' feature; if you can figure out a way to regenerate a blank signup list for recurring calendar items as well that would make our lives much easier! Let me know if there's anything in the works.

    That’s a great question.

    At this time, I can confirm there is no method or feature in the system to set a recurring 'Volunteer Signup List', similar to the Calendar Items for the club's Events calendar.

    As we do not have a direct way to resolve this, I will do my best to provide some workarounds.

    For each volunteering event, you’re not limited to a single date or time on a signup list but per task. So you can create one volunteer signup event that will be good for an entire month, or multi-month period, depending on your needs. Each event can have 10 groups, with 10 tasks, that each have 10 signup slots.

    Once you’ve created your lists, you can add the link to the signup list for members into the Calendar Items description, this article should help: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/kb/articles/how-do-i-add-a-link

    You can also invite members to the signup lists directly as well, to send invitations please use the steps in this article: https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/kb/articles/how-do-i-communicate-with-volunteers

    Invitations help bypass members login requirements, and can be helpful in getting members to signup.

    While collecting the signups for the entire month, or multi-month period, you can copy the list to prepare a new signup list for the following month, or multi-month period. This guide covers the steps when copying a signup list:

You would have some additional options for bigger signup groups, and public registrations, with the Enhanced Volunteers module.
