Our club website was running one of the older formats in the THEME area. We were just forced to move to the new theme formats (4) that virtually look the same with just some color changes. There is no options to customize the website homepage banner OR the bulletin banners. I would like the old formats to be returned and reconfigured to operate on your new system.

    Hello Bruce,

    Thank you for your feedback.

We had been informing your Club website administrators of this change for the past 6-8 months, this has been the case for all of our customers. Your club website was updated to next-gen because we did not receive a response.

There are some misconceptions with our next gen themes, thank you for this opportunity to address them.

Upgrading to the next gen theme is partly an aesthetic choice—these new themes are more modern and mobile friendly. These new themes also incorporate all our new web technologies. Thus all our new upcoming features will only be compatible with our next gen themes, which is why we have been endeavoring to slowly transition all customers into our next-gen themes over the past year.

As an example of a new feature – now that you are upgraded to a next gen theme, all your stories can have comments. See Step ‘8’ in this article:

    https://www.clubrunnersupport.com/article/1304-how-to-create-and-edit-a-story

Also you may certainly customize the website banner if you wish, the method is now different:

Our Developers will soon be releasing a ‘banner theme’ shortly, and we will continue to release new next gen themes moving forward.

As well, upgrading your homepage to a next gen theme does not affect your bulletins in any way. If you’d like assistance with editing your bulletin banners please respond back on this forum here, or by using our support email, or read here for more details:

While we cannot move you backward to your old website template, we would be happy to answer any other questions you have until you are satisfied with your new, modern, fully mobile-compliant website.
